SPOST 5
Chatham County's SPLOST 5 started in 2008 and was collected through 2014. SPLOST 5 primarily paid for new public safety facilities for the County, including $100 million for the expansion of the Chatham County Jail, and the construction of the Judicial Courthouse for $35 million. SPLOST 5 included 30 million for road improvements, $20 million for drainage projects, and $18 million for Capital Projects, including Hutchinson Island Slip 3.
