SPOST 6
Chatham County's SPLOST 6 started in 2014 and will be collected through 2020. SPLOST 6 saw the funding of major facilities projects totaling $45.5 million. The largest sum in that category went towards a new Emergency Operations Center for Chatham Emergency Management Agency, for which $15 million was set aside. Additionally, the widely used, multi-use Memorial Stadium recieved $12 million. Industrial Park development and the Juvenile Court Complex made up the remainder of this section of SPLOST 5. Road improvements were funded for $24 million out of SPLOST 6, and projects like the Civil RIghts Museum, Mother Mathilda Beasley Park, The Chatham County Health Department's Midtown Clinic were funded out of the $37 million set aside for Capital Projects.
